Virome Lab

We explore the mysterious of virome .

Viruses have the largest number of individuals in the global environment, about 10^31. Viruses capable of causing human or animal diseases have been studied for decades, but the viral community as a whole has not been studied intensively. Our lab devotes to explore the mysterious of virome.

Eukaryotic viruses

Eukaryotic viruses include a vast array of viruses that permanently infect the host and can exist for decades in asymptomatic individuals. They can directly impact tissue-specific immunity, including in the GI tract.

Prokaryovirus

Interested in the role that bacteriophages play in modulating the composition of microbiome. A single thought of lifecycle (lysogenic or lytic) choice by the phage may affect changes in the composition of the host's entire intestinal microbial community.
